The Yamaha B2 Acoustic Piano has a height of 113 Cm and is completely built according to the Yamaha Principle. The yamaha B2 offers a very high quality for a budget friendly price. The Yamaha B2 is equipped with a solid soundboard for nice warm, deep and powerful sound.
Keyboard, Yamaha produces all the keyboard internally. The keys of b-series Yamaha pianos are made of Sitka spruce wood. The wood is naturally dried for six to 24 months and then further acclimatized in Yamaha's computer-controlled ovens. Since most wood in a piano key is not painted, Yamaha keys benefit from strict drying and acclimatization procedures. Thanks to these stringent treatments, the keys are not affected by changes in temperature and humidity
Mechanism: A piano mechanism must be resistant to continuous shocks, but also to changes in temperature and humidity. Yamaha uses its patented technology for drying and gluing maple - the most commonly used material - for a very precise and durable mechanism. Each of the 5500 mechanical parts is produced in-house! Machines developed by Yamaha enable us to achieve incredible accuracy. Holes for hairstyles, for example, are drilled with a precision of 0.05 millimeters. Yamaha was the first manufacturer in the world to develop an aluminum center beam. Because aluminum rails are resistant to deformation and are not influenced by temperature changes, the deviation in the point of attachment can be kept to a minimum.

The sound ground material comes from North America, where the seasonal temperatures and height are ideal for growing high quality spruce wood. The sound bases of the b2 and b3 are manufactured in Yamaha's own Kitami facility, which specializes in woodworking processes - from the selection of wood by our own 'wood scouts' and the acclimatization process, to the production of the piano parts - only for Yamaha.
