Roland RD-88 Stage piano
It is all well and good to have a large, robust stage piano, but carrying it around can be groundbreaking and flagship models are usually on the expensive side. But Roland has finally found something with the RD-88. The Roland RD-88 is a compact, lightweight stage piano that is slightly cheaper than the competition.
It is a stage piano with full keyboard, Roland PHA-4, with hammer action and Ivory feel. The classic Roland keyboard that promotes dynamic playing. There are also built-in speakers that can be useful during practice but can also be used as a return to the stage.
Cheaper but not in sound
Inside you will find the expected range of SuperNATURAL acoustic and electric piano sounds - some of which have been newly developed - and these are accompanied by additional acoustic and electronic voices. These are synth sounds that are powered by the newest sound engine from Roland, Zen-core.
Access to all sounds with the push of a button
The controls are designed to provide quick and easy access to the various sounds. Each button is a voice category and splitting or layering is also possible at the touch of a button. You can also easily save your favorite sounds as presets and the One Touch Piano button ensures that you can always fall back on the standard piano sound.
Roland RD-88 has also borrowed a few functions from the new Fantom. This stage piano also offers easy computer integration - Finally, it is even possible to play your software sounds through the instrument via USB using your favorite DAW or Mainstage.
