FANTOM is Roland's newest high-end professional keyboard. They call it a creative hub, because it is made for creating whole productions as well as great for performing on stage. This machine will inspire you and it is create for writing down new ideas due to the onboard production tools, like a great sequencer and the integration with DAW software from you computer. It's new, it's intuitive and incredibly helpful in all kinds of situations. The expandable sound engine delivers our best electronic and acoustic sounds, with the depth and control to combine and shape them in exciting new ways. It is definitely built from premium materials, it has a purposeful design, and the best 61-, 76-, and 88-note keyboards with after touch Roland's ever made.

Endless Posibilities from Synth Giant

Roland has been working on synths and sound design since forever. Their Behavior Modeling Chips power FANTOM’s core giving the player control over sound design than ever before. Even though the synths are digital, you can tweak them as if they were coming from analog oscillators. The posibilities are endless.

This does not mean that Roland has ignored the piano. Piano is still considered key, and sits at the heart of the Fantom. Roland uses their famous V-Piano technology that perfectly simulates the sound and feel of a real acoustic piano. The keybed is Roland's new acclaimed PHA-50 and a brand new semi-weighted keybed on the 61- and 76- note models. .

Insane amount of LFO

Low-frequency oscillators add movement to static sounds. More LFOs mean more modulation possibilities and more ways to explore new ground. FANTOM has two LFOs per partial, four partials per tone—and since you can stack 16 tones, that’s a staggering 128 LFOs per voice. And FANTOM’s Step-LFOs have 16 steps of beat-synced automation with 37 curve choices per step. This creates long evolving passages, modular-style animated textures, and sounds with deeply intricate movement.

Multiple sequencers

This keyboard has a production style for every music genre. You can create patterns on FANTOM in a variety of ways including real and step-time polyphonic sequencing, or the TR-REC pattern sequencer—perfect for rhythmic parts— made famous by the 808.

There's even some sort of Ableton inspired clip sequencing. You can create whole songs by recording small loops, and arranging them in the right order to create your new masterpiece.

Soft Synth and computer integration

FANTOM works great with computers and DAW's. It has a fully integrated 16x3 stereo audio interface and can control DAWs and plugins from its touchscreen. It can integrate soft synths into Scenes, and send parts composed on FANTOM directly to your DAW.

Even crazier is the fact that you can actually control the soft synth from your DAW, layer them with any internal sound, use them in sequences and even pass them through the onboard analog filter. The posibilities are truly endless and makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

And if you're a huge gearhead like us and you might even own a analog synth or two, or maybe even a analog drum computer, Roland's got you covered. FANTOM has two sets of CV/Gate outputs so you can sync tempo or play them from FANTOM’s keyboard or its many pattern sequencers. Amazing.
