The PRS CE24 CC is a limited edition guitar from Paul Reed Smith featuring the infamous 85/15 pickup. It was designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of PRS guitars. The 85/15 is based on Paul's original humbucker. It is the culmination of three decades of R&D and technological innovation in guitar sound. The electronics of the PRS CE24 CC consist of a volume and push/pull tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. They provide six classic humbucker and single-coil sounds. The bolt-on neck on the CE24 provides a smooth and brighter tone, more akin to that of a vintage Stratocaster. The 'Pattern Thin' neck profile guarantees smooth playability, which is further accomplished by the satin finish of the neck. The body also has a satin nitrocellulose finish. Unlike the classic polyurethane finish, Nitro gives a more natural feel and allows the wood to breathe more. This ensures a more resonant tone, and a more natural aging of the wood over time.
