Martin DX1E Koa
The Martin DX1E Koa is a guitar that comes out in the X series. With those guitars, made in Mexico, Martin is going for the price-conscious guitarist who attaches great importance to quality. The dreadnought, a body shape that guarantees a nice resonance and a nice deep bass, is finished in koa, a tropical wood. The wood is not solid, but made from 'HPL', a kind of laminate that comes pretty close in terms of tone properties, but does seriously reduce the price. You can easily connect the guitar to an amplifier or a PA via the FIshman element. Included is a very sturdy gig bag that protects your instrument well. In short: if you are looking for a real Martin, but also think of the price, then the DX1E Koa is definitely worth considering.
