Historically favored by master violin makers, Italian Alpine Spruce is renowned for its high stiffness-to-weight ratio, offering a sophisticated, "glass-like" clarity and a ceiling for volume that remains crisp even under a heavy pick attack. This is paired with 5/16" non-scalloped spruce bracing, providing a robust, fundamental-focused projection that will only grow more complex and "open" as the wood ages over decades of play.
Complementing the crystalline highs of the spruce is the back and sides crafted from Cocobolo.
