Introducing the modwave mkII - now with almost double the polyphony, expanded free running LFOs and more!

In 1985, KORG's DW-8000 combined digital wavetables with rich analog filters to give users sounds that were impossible to create with analog oscillators. It is still a cult favorite today.

The modwave builds on the DW legacy and transforms it into a modern monster synth, with incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, beautiful filters, wildly flexible modulation, unparalleled polyphony, extensive pattern sequencing and instantly satisfying hands-on controls to deliver unique, powerful and easy edit sounds and phrases to deliver.

The modwave also introduces two unique new tools for creating dynamic motion: Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0. Kaoss Physics combines an Motion Sequencing 2.0 brings the organic, constantly evolving patterns of Wave Sequencing 2.0 from the wavestate to the world of motion sequencing, including multiple lanes and real-time recording to help you create complex and evolving phrases that other step sequencers can't.

Like Wave Sequencing 2.0 (wavestate) and modified FM (opsix), modwave's evolved wavetable synthesis delivers its own color of completely unique sounds and a knob-per-function layout that makes customizing those sounds quick and easy. There are hundreds of preset sounds made possible by this new architecture, organized through Category buttons on the front panel, and all instantly customizable via the four Mod buttons. Modwave's signature wavetable timbres start with aggressive bass and leads, and lush ambient pads that will add a new dimension to your tracks. But that's just the beginning.

Those who want to dig deeper will discover an endless resource; Modwave's unique synth architecture will keep you discovering new things for a long time. Save as many of your sounds as you want; there is room for thousands more. You can also load your own samples, import wavetables in standard formats, and create your own wavetables using the free WaveEdit software.

The new ModWave MkII offers an astonishing 60 voices of polyphony - almost double the original ModWave's 32, and an unprecedented number for a wavetable synth in any price range. In response to user requests, we updated all LFOs with coasting, delayed start, and retrigger options. We've also added a pre/post switch for reverb sends, new modulation sources and more.
