Johannus Live 2T

The New Johannus organ Live 2 is a derived model of the Johannus Live 3, but with 2 keyboards and a simpler organ case.

Playing a pipe organ is the dream of every organist. But not every organist has a pipe organ available day and night. The Johannus LiVE 2T builds a historic bridge between dream and reality.

From now on you will have the most beautiful pipe organs in the world in your own living room.

The Johannus LiVE 2T is a high-quality digital organ that is equipped with a standard disposition of 44 voices. However, something special is going on with that standard disposition. Although it is static in its physical condition, it is dynamic in its use. The 44 tab registers perform interchangeable dispositions, which change according to the pipe organ that is chosen.

To give an example: the Prestant 8 ’tab register can represent both the Montre 8’ of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in the Église Notre-Dame in Paris and the Prestant 8 ’of the Bätz organ in Utrecht's Domkerk.

The fixed disposition was established on the basis of a sophisticated cross-section that Johannus made of pipe organs worldwide. To put it simply: we analyzed the dispositions of dozens of international pipe organs and noted which voices were the most common in all these organs.

Those are, for example, voices like the Prestant 8 ", the Flute 4" and the Trumpet 8 ". We then gave these voices a place in the standard disposition of the Johannus LiVE 2T. The names of these voices are printed on the illuminated tab registers

Just like on the Johannus LiVE III you can upload the sample sets of dozens of international pipe organs on the Johannus LiVE 2T, but special sample sets have been developed for the Johannus LiVE 2T. The sample sets are loaded into the organ with a usb stick. Each USB stick contains the authentic, professional recordings of a specific international pipe organ. These sample sets contain a large number of unique voices from these organs. In addition, a number of selected votes are sent to those registers

the very large sample library from Johannus has been added. The result: each sample set for the Johannus LiVE 2T contains exactly 44 voices, the majority of which comes from the original pipe organ and a smaller portion is supplemented with voices in the spirit of and in addition to the character of the pipe organ in question.

Your Johannus LiVE 2T therefore serves you at all times with the standard disposition of 44 votes. But behind that disposition are interchangeable voices. For example, if you have uploaded the Silbermann organ of the Katholische Hofkirche in Dresden, the 44 tab registers represent a large part of the

original disposition of that pipe organ, plus a selection of voices that Johannus has added. If you tap any tab register, the display will show the name of the voice as it appears on the original pipe organ that you have currently selected.

The 44 tab registers list the names of the vote selection that Johannus made. The alternative voices that lie behind it are always closely related. For example, a Flute 4 "can represent an Open Flute 4", a Prestant 8 "a Montre 8". Thanks to this innovative and at the same time cost-saving solution, dozens of international pipe organs can be played with one standard disposition.

This technological innovation is one of the most important features of the Johannus LiVE 2T. Because we have chosen this solution, we bring the pipe organ within reach for everyone. And that was our goal.
