The AMPX is an analogue amp: the signal flow remains 100% analogue from input to output. The analysis and reproduction of sounds used to be the essence of digital sound processing - this did not exist in the analogue world. With the AMPX that changes: our Neural Analog Amp™ design allows us to edit and save analog circuit parameters at the component level - like a "virtual soldering iron" for analog amp tuning. From a technical point of view, this corresponds to the real change in a circuit.
The analog circuitry of the AMPX is designed so that - with the help of our "virtual soldering iron" - it can reproduce the DNA of any (yes, any!) tube amp design - and in authentic, analog tube quality! The same goes for pedals, effects (in this case analog or digital, depending on which technology is superior for the particular effect) and speaker simulations.
When delivered, the AMPX has an extensive set of sounds on board. But that's not the end of the story: you can download new sounds (we call them BlugPRINTs) from our ever-growing online BlugPRINT sound library and install them on your AMPX. Yes, you read that right: you download a digital file which, once installed on your AMPX, changes the analog circuit parameters of the AMPX! So you get a 100% authentic reproduction of the original amp.
And there will be BlugPRINTs for all sorts of sounds and devices, including extras and special customer requests! So the AMPX gives you everything you need and will ever need: your complete analog guitar rig with 100 watt power amp and authentic tube tone feel in a single 3 kg pedal-sized unit.
