The Sync X is a reference clock source and synchronizer for Pro Tool Ultimate systems that will keep all your peripherals in perfect sync. Its reliable, ultra-low jitter sync system allows it to lock onto external sources in an instant. Versatile, it even has a video reference signal generator, making it possible to do without an external synchronization device!

Avid-developed Sync X is specifically designed to keep your external devices in perfect sync with your Pro Tools system, no matter how complex. The backbone of any modern post production system, the Sync X provides highly reliable, low-jitter clocking and near sample-accurate locking or frame-accurate synchronization in video. It is an essential for dubbing, ADR, Foley and other precision workflows. It is essential in any studio that requires synchronization of audio with image.

Synchronize your universe.

Leveraging patented DigiSerial Port technology for connection to Pro Tools | HDX or HD Native, the Sync X allows precise synchronization between the position of the audio sample and the edge of the video image. In multi-carrier mixing environments, where dialogue, music and sound effects are handled by separate systems, this means that all your audio and video devices will be in sync and playing exactly where you intended.

Compatible with the largest formats in the industry.

With support for all standard clock sources (Word Clock, Loop Sync, and AES3), positional reference formats (LTC, Serial Timecode, and Bi-Phase/Tach), SD and HD reference formats, and pull-up/pull-down rates for film and video, the Sync X fits easily into any studio environment. In addition, six Word Clock outputs are present for easy synchronization with Pro Tools interfaces and devices.

Reduce costs with the on-board video reference generator.

Sync X has a built-in video reference generator with four outputs for distributing signals to other devices, reducing your installation complexity and operating costs. If you already have an external video reference generator, the Sync X can also receive a video reference, with automatic format detection.
