The Pro Tools | HDX Core is a professional PCIe card designed to exploit all the possibilities offered by Pro Tools Ultimate and Avid's AAX plugins. A real engine for the Pro Tools Ultimate platform, the HDX card embeds 18 DSP processors offering a total power of 6.3 GHz, 2 high-performance FPGA chips capable of generating 4500 x 4500 signal routes to the DigiLink, Pro Tools outputs or to the DSPs. With its 18 DSP processors and 2 high-performance FPGA chips, the Pro Tools | HDX is a powerhouse, designed to process thousands of audio streams at blazing speeds. The central FPGA chip quickly routes the signal within the board, sample by sample, without any latency, while the DSP processors manage the mixing part and processing of the plugins in real time at an overall speed of 6.3 GHz. Result ? Dedicated processing capacity for mixing the most important sessions.

The HDX engine combines phenomenal performance with rock-solid reliability. A second FPGA chip provides up to 256 voices per PCIe card, and transmits audio to and from your host processor with uniform 32-bit precision, preserving the highest possible audio quality throughout the gain structure. So when you hit the record button, you get exceptional, unwavering processing capability.

HDX systems are capable of supporting up to three PCIe cards, allowing you to meet the needs of all your projects, from orchestral recording to immersive audio mixing. Go beyond the limits by accessing 2048 voices with the Hybrid Engine!

High performance digital connectivity.

The HDX Core connects to Pro Tools peripherals via very specific formats. The two DigiLink ports offer 64 channels of I/O and guarantee the highest audio fidelity both in and out of the HDX Engine. This protocol also allows Pro Tools to automatically compensate for delays on physical inserts. The DigiSerial port, on the other hand, is part of a patented technology that provides unparalleled synchronization of the edges of video frames with audio, with down-to-sample accuracy.
