Arturia Keystep

Arturia's Keystep got a smaller brother: the Arturia Keystep. A simple looking and small keyboard controller with 32 keys. But for less than 150 euros you get a surprising amount of functions in a very impressive MIDI controller.

As with the Beatstep and Beatstep PRO that preceded it, the KeyStep features a range of different I/O formats. There is a USB connection to connect the controller to a computer, MIDI In and Out ports and CV Pitch, Gate and Mod outputs. There are also mini-jack Sync In/Out ports that work with clock devices such as Korg's Volca series.

Arturia's MIDI Control Center software also allows for further configuration of the outputs, including setting the CV outputs to volts per octave or hertz per volt and adjusting the sync settings. Finally, a sustain pedal input and power input round out the connections.
