The Martin D10E Dreadnought is a completely new name in the catalog, but you may still find it familiar. It is namely the completely updated version of what the DRS1 and DRS2 was. The concept remains the same: a solid, soberly finished guitar made in Mexico for a relatively low price (compared to the American brothers and sisters). The Road Series in which this guitar appears has an exceptionally good ratio between price and quality, and this D-10 is no exception. What do you think of a solid spruce top and solid sides and back in sapeli? On top of that, the guitar is beautifully finished, with 'mother of pearl' position marking on the neck and a beautiful satin finish. The neck is from Richlite, a material specially developed by Martin that is an excellent alternative to ebony and rosewood. The Martin 10E Dreadnought also has an element that connects the guitar to an amplifier. The Fishman element gives a nice natural reproduction of the acoustic sound and has a super handy tuner built in. This has a clear display that you can read at the sound hole.
